After the great triumph of the first edition of last year,  Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda replicate the event dedicated to graduating students.

Lombardy Region supports this important event too, following with great attention and participation the initiatives of the famous fashion institutes.
Here are the participating schools: Istituto di Moda Burgo, Accademia della Moda, Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Harim-Accademia Euromediterranea, Accademia Galli, AFOL Moda, Ars Sutoria, Domus Academy, IED Moda, Istituto Marangoni, Istituto Modartech, Istituto Secoli, NABA, Politecnico di Milano.
The event will take place Tuesday, June 28 and Wednesday, June 29 at the “BASE” space in Via Bergognone, 34 Milan. 8 talented students from Istituto di Moda Burgo will have the chance to exhibit their dresses and collections: Angela Spano, Gianluca Alibrando, Alba Carelli, Angelica Pugliese, Mariastella Suriano, Caterina Armondi, Sara Stucchi e Sara Montanari.
Alba and Angelica designed the collection in a few days of hard work. They were inspired by the 50s but they wanted to add a new twist using neoprene for the realization of the garments. Flared skirts, flowers, midi lengths and large volumes characterize their style. To create an original 3D effect they carved the flowers directly into the tissue and curled them in the middle.
The collection of Sara Montanari is inspired by the lights of a nocturnal city. Shapes and colors recall the great metropolitan streets and the famous skyscrapers as “The Bow” of Calgary in Canada, and “Mandarin Oriental Hotel” of Beijing in China.
The geometric shapes of the metallic finishes have been a source of inspiration for cuts and decorative applications. She used the technique of Pantone and acrylic crayons to color the figures and the glitter eyeshadow to render the metallic effect.
We wait for you on 28 and 29 June in Via Bergognone 34 to admire these wonderful works and to find out more details on Istituto di Moda Burgo and its students.
