The Istituto di Moda Burgo includes national and international collaborations. The national ones are related to the fashion world and the Italian territory. The internationality of the Institute is instead sanctioned by the existence of more than 10 branches spread all over the world and educational cooperation with Universities and Fashion Institutes.


WGSN is a great important movement of the market fashion style offices. It was born in New York where it is well known as an online platform used by businessmen, from around the world, for turning to figure out which is the product line to point the next year and to have a complete overview of the latest trends. WGSN selected Istituto di Moda Burgo as a partner.

Assolombarda is the association of industrialists of the Metropolitan City of Milan and of the Provinces of Lodi, Monza and Brianza and Pavia. In terms of size and representativeness, it is the most important association of the entire Confindustria System.


The City of Milan promotes a wide range of courses and training opportunities in collaboration with universities and the major colleges, to offer a unique experience in one of the most beautiful and dynamics cities of Europe: a summer in Milan characterized by vocational training as well as recreational and cultural activities. Istituto di Moda Burgo hosts more than 100 students each summer.

The association was founded in Milan in 2008. It brings together illustrious Italian educational institutions and universities and it provides training related to the fashion industry. Istituto di Moda Burgo is a founding member of the Platform. The schools that make up the association have always had a close link with the cultural, historical and industrial Italian heritage. The primary objective is the affirmation of the Italian fashion educational system, by fostering an open and continuous exchange between schools and industry.

Unione Artigiani Milano

Founded in 1945 with the aim to protect the interests, the activity and to boost the development of the handicrafts in various sectors , now has 16,000 member companies. The Union is part of the Lombardy Regional Federation of Handicraft Associations and adheres to CLAAI (Italian Confederation of Free Craft Associations), which operates in Italy and wants to guarantee a free and modern handicraft, opened to the market. Every year Istituto di Moda Burgo students participate with their creations at the Grand Défilé della Sartoria, an event organized by the Union in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Milan.

Founded in Brusque in 2015 by Daniela Cristina Dos Santos, graduated from IMB Milan, wants to become a reference point in the education sector in Brazil. It offers a highly professional programs and textbooks, the same of Istitto di Moda Burgo in Milan.

The Italian Institute of Photography born in 1992 is a multi-functional school, a highly innovative and experimental space. It is discovery, research and expression. It was born with the aim of providing a solid preparation, developing a sensitivity and a contemporary photographic language capable of crossing cultures, borders, markets. IIF is divided into three sections: School, Artside and Production. IIF and IMB Milan have created together the “Photography & Fashion” course which is held every year in July with the aim of training the professional figure of the Fashion Photographer. IMB and IIF students also collaborate on shooting and fashion shows.

The company Lectra, constantly expanding all over the world, is now the most important and widespread multinational company operating in the fashion industry. It offers solutions for the entire production cycle from the concept, to the cut, through to the management of the collections. There are thousands of fashion schools and universities partner of Lectra, but only forty can claim to be privilege partners, among them the Istituto di Moda Burgo.

Established in Jakarta in 2011 by Jenny Yohana Kansil, graduated from IMB Milan, is the only Italian fashion school in Indonesia. By combining the techniques of Italian production with the local traditional culture, the mission of the Institute is to improve the quality of Indonesian fashion, to adapt it to European and international standards and to make Jakarta not only a business city, but a point of reference in the fashion world.

IMB by Lorens is the most important Italian fashion school in Mexico. It is the only Fashion Design Institute in Mexico with the exclusive right to use the books, teaching methods and programs of Istituto di Moda Burgo in Milan. The Head Mistress Lorena Ríos opened the first branch in Mexico City in 2007 and later one in Monterrey.

Sonat Yavuzka, a graduate of IMB Milan, opened IMB Turkey in Istanbul in 2018. Today it represents the only international Italian fashion school in Turkey. The goal of the Institute is to create new talents. The study method, the same used in the Milan office, allows students to express their creativity and to learn the technical knowledge necessary to enter the world of work.
