Friday, December 2, in the presence of the Prefect of Milan and the Councillors of the City of Milan Pierfrancesco Majorino and Cristina Tajani at Società Umanitaria, the Director Fernando Burgo and the President Camillo de Milato signed an important agreement between the respective institutions: Istituto di Moda Burgo and Fondazione Asilo Mariuccia.
Both institutions have settled in the Milan area and in the year 2014 saw recognized by the City of Milan their merits with the assignment of the Civic Merit (Ambrogino d’Oro).
Asilo Mariuccia is a lay Institute founded in 1902 to Ersilia Majno initiative, wife of Luigi Majno, in memory of their prematurely dead daughter Maria, for the recovery of children and adolescents victims of abuse and mistreatment. Since January 1, 2004 was established as a Foundation under the name of “Fondazione Asilo Mariuccia ONLUS”.
The Foundation operates exclusively for the purpose of social solidarity and one of its primary objectives is to promote the social reintegration and training the persons received.
Just to facilitate the latter point, the President de Milato has decided to enter into an agreement with Istituto di Moda Burgo, knowing the excellent teaching method and the important job opportunities offered to its students.
Istituto di Moda Burgo will offer to a guest of the Foundation the opportunity to access without charge to one of its professional courses. The candidate will receive a full training, which will allow her to learn all the necessary skills required by the labor market.
